Heh, You actually can do that Jarlax. Its why Hunter sent two fleets your way one heavily loaded the other emptyish, you can then transfer all the ships from one to the other and send home the rock heavy emptyish one. At least I think that's why he does it it could also be to bring back defence for a smaller margin win.

OH NO! my secrets. lol
That time it was just to return one fleet for defense if needed. But you can do the thing Rors mentioned. Just send one fleet with all your ships, and another with ~50 hawks or whatever. Then after the first tick, just swap ships from one fleet to the other. As a result, you have a fleet with 50 hawks and lots of rocks, and a fleet with no pop but all your ships.

I'll have to remember that strategy. I have first hand knowledge of how well it works LOL

Necroing old threads YEAH!

Just so everyone is clear... Never Ever consider bringing back the Bank interest, not even for a fun speed round. Furthermore, Never Ever consider bringing back the speed rounds. I have nightmares of never ending CW speed rounds. Eventually people stop caring about them anyway because you have to be super active in order to maintain any order.

I dunno when the test server came into exsistance, but it is perfect for messing around since you can turn 6 hours into 1 minute if you want.

Lastly wanted to reiterate that the rogue ships that attack en route attacking fleets would be an interesting way to add an element of randomness to the system. Course it would need to be tested on the test server first.

inter-planet fleet combat could be interesting...

but the system is not designed to handle it. (you could add it so when you have 4 incoming fleets you launch an attack on one enemy planet and for the tick where the two fleets pass each other they fight, and then keep going - or cancel if they decide to recall... That would give you the opportunity to only 1 of the 4 attackers, and even win that fight if that attacker doesn't recall his attacking fleet...)

this could be done based on ETA and testing if to-from equals from-to...

but it would be a bit messy.

Pirates would still be cool, and being able to hunt them down also funky...
